North Tripura located in the northern part of the state. North Tripura situated approximately between 91.45 degree & 92.29 degree East longitude and 23.39 degree & 24.30 degree Northlatitude.It is bounded by Assam in the North-East, Mizoram in the East, Unakoti District in the South and by the Bangladesh in the West.Although the North Tripura district is divided into three sub-divisions namely Dharmanagar, Panisagar,Kanchanpur and Unokoti districts is divided into two Sub-Divisions namely Kumarghat and Kailashahar. The Principle hill ranges in the District are Jampui, Shakhan. The highest range in the state lies in the in the District at Jampui.The two most important rivers of the Districts are Deo and Jury. laces of tourist interest in the district of North Tripura district are: Jampui hill , Unakoti, Laxmi-Narayan Tample, Sateramia Hawar at Kailashahar, Purano Rajbari, Rangauti at Kailashahar, Bhagabati mandir, Kumarghat, Udayan Buddha Bihar of Pechartal.
